Hi there!  I’m Melanie.  I live near Charlotte, NC, and work in the financial services industry, although I’d love to be a blogger-from-home in my dreams.  I have a M.A. in English which I primarily use for games of Trivial Pursuit and episodes of Jeopardy.  I LOVE cats and like dogs, but I love watching t.v. most of all.

I’ve been blogging here for five years now, but this year, I’m embarking on the arduous journey of becoming a functional adult….you know, the kind of people who can have friends over and meal plan and clean and stuff.  Hang around; I’m sure we’ll both get a kick out of the journey and who knows, maybe we’ll learn something.
